Work independently to obtain and organize data and perform advanced actuarial analysis to support pricing, reserving, and forecasting processes and effectively communicate with business leaders to support data-guided business solutions.

Perform advanced actuarial analyses, inclusive of advanced analytics and modeling, resulting in suggestions for actions
Translate the needs of business leaders into insightful exhibits, analyses, and/or tools.
Mentor and train others in the department
Lead processes for the department such as Rate Reviews, Financial Close, Modeling Project, Budget, Price Monitoring, etc.
Support the quarterly close with loss reserve analyses and financial reporting requirements.
Assist Underwriting in identifying segments with profitable growth potential; identify underperforming segments and propose corrective actions to improve profitability.
Provide assistance in the development of rating methodologies concerning both existing and new company products.
In all aspects, share the results of the actuarial analysis with non-actuarial peers and executives through effective verbal and written communication and effective exhibits.
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, statistics, or any related field.
At least five years of Property/Casualty actuarial work, Commercial Lines Pricing experience preferred.
Excellent knowledge of spreadsheet software, Excel preferred.
Ability to extract and manipulate data in relational databases, SQL preferred.
Practical experience using statistical techniques to build predictive models to address underwriting or claim issues.
