With emerging vehicle technology and the changing auto insurance market, a key strategy for Nationwide auto insurance is identifying and developing partnerships with vehicle manufacturers (OEM’s). Product is a critical part of these discussions and the strategy. We currently have a relationship or are building a relationship with five OEM’s, and this is expected to expand.
Your Impact – What You will be Doing
Defining our product strategy and capabilities needed for OEM’s/connected cars in both the short term and long term, and developing the needed relationships and capabilities to execute the strategy.
Leading the collaboration with other areas across the organization to develop the strategy, capabilities and/or product, determine the ability to implement, and identify the short and long-term costs and benefits.
Developing the strategy and product needs considering customer needs, market trends, competitor analysis, and internal and external capabilities.
Effectively communicating the strategy and capabilities needed with leaders and other areas in the organization.
Actively seeking new relationships or partnerships needed to execute the strategy.
Actively representing personal lines product and pricing and provides thought leadership in internal and external UBI and OEM discussions.
