Loyalty Rewards Consultants work on project teams focused on performing liability valuations, optimization analyses and liability management support for our loyalty reward program clients. They are responsible for data analysis, model design and statistical modelling to analyze trends and deliver insights on the redemption behavior of loyalty program members. They work closely with a variety of consultants and project managers and utilize a variety of tools including cloud-based architecture on Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and deployment, streamlining and operationalizing models into data science pipelines within a cloud-based environment. While Boston, MA is preferred location qualified candidates located in Hartford, CT or the New York/New Jersey metropolitan areas will also be considered. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Working collaboratively with other consultants to determine initial data needs, reviewing obtained client information and guiding analysts to perform the follow up work required to populate complete data sets
Developing a strong understanding of the loyalty industry and becoming familiar with the various steps needed to process data for liability, optimization and program management activities
Performing statistical analyses employing various predictive modelling techniques to identify trends and project members future redemption behavior
Preparing reports that summarize the findings of the analysis
Contributing to sales and marketing efforts by drafting proposals and responding to RFPs
Building strong relationships internally and collaborating effectively on cross-functional teams
Demonstrating natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levels
Managing work in accordance to project deadlines.
Serving as the project manager on some projects which includes: setting-up project plans; monitoring progress to deadlines and budgets; providing status updates to clients; scheduling and managing regular status meeting calls; ensuring appropriate and effective communication among team members and the client; delivering projects which meet or exceed client expectations and increasing efficiency within client teams by identifying ways to improve processes
University degree required
5+ years of successful experience as a Consultant, ideally in the Loyalty Programs space.
Significant experience with querying database systems; e.g., SQL
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and Power Point
Strong written and oral communication skills
Well organized and detail oriented
Ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner
Ability to ask the right questions and seek help where appropriate
Flexibility and proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues; strong client service orientation
Interest and ability to think beyond the task at hand and understand how one’s work fits into the broader landscape
Strong analytical and integrative skills including ability to draw conclusions and identify trends from data in a logical, systematic way
Ability to work both independently and on client teams and enjoy a fast-paced environment
Significant experience working with statistical software; e.g. SAS, R focusing on predictive modelling analyses
Experience with Emblem, Radar software, cloud architecture, Hadoop and agile project management tools a plus
Experience working with big data, actuarial reserving and pricing skills preferred
Ability to code and develop in scripting and object oriented programming languages such as Python, Java, C# ideal
