Purpose: Support the Global Security Services Team
This position is designed for students interested in the Information Security / Cyber Security career path. Candidate will be exposed to Markel’s Global Security Operations, Governance, Risk, Compliance, and Business Continuity and will have the ability to interact with various security professionals. The candidate will also be expected to interact with IT partners also providing opportunity to gain knowledge at the operating levels.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Learn the Incident Response Stages
Learn about Application Security
Learn about Governance, Risk, and Compliance
Learn about Records management and data privacy
Learn about Business Resiliency
Identify ways to automate processes and fully document
Analyze security incident trends and formulate action plans to address problem areas
Review existing team documentation to remove duplication and streamline
Work with IT partners for applicability and ensure feedback is incorporated
Current college student (rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors)
Strong academic performance (3.0 GPA minimum)
