Responsible for providing Pricing Analyses and Technical Support for Workers Compensation Treaty Reinsurance and Other Lines of Business.

Treaty Reinsurance -- Pricing Analysis and Technical Support
Analyze reinsurance submissions, calculate the indicated experience and exposure rates for new and renewal risks under various coverage options, calculate ELR’s, and develop recommendations.
Participate in the Treaty Reinsurance Pricing Committee, as requested.
Participate in the Treaty Reinsurance contract language reviews.
Identify profitability problems; make recommendations to Company Management.
Design, use, document, and/or maintain pricing models for various Treaty Reinsurance Products.
Assist with underwriting and claim audits of client insurers, as requested.
Review rate adequacy and catastrophe exposure for special acceptances requested by cedants.
Monitor industry current events and analyze data to identify new profitable business opportunities.
Assist with strategic planning and SWOT analysis for Treaty Reinsurance.
Assist with development and pricing of new Treaty Reinsurance products.
Peer review the analyses produced by other Pricing Actuaries.
Analyze underwriting results and assist with management information reports.
Assist with development and maintenance of parameters for various Treaty Re pricing models.
Assist with the construction of pricing data warehouse.
Conduct special profitability studies for niche markets.
Assist with regulatory compliance as necessary.
Create and maintain documentation and procedures necessary to comply with corporate policies regarding reporting, data security, backup requirements, and proper controls.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Associate or Fellow of Casualty Actuarial Society
10+ years of experience in Treaty Reinsurance pricing including workers compensation
Strong background pricing workers compensation business
Understanding of generally accepted actuarial pricing procedures for primary and reinsurance business
Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, other Microsoft software
Able to work independently
Good oral and written communication skills
