Job Description Summary
This position is responsible for providing comprehensive data analysis surrounding all product lines for new and existing business to ensure accurate rating and pricing, and the development of new products and the implementation of those products to increase revenue-generating programs, working closely with the marketing team, claims department, and the sales agents to develop and revise products to stay current, relevant and profitable; research and analysis of competitor’s products to include in the development of CASC products, sales presentations and various communications to clients and potential clients; and involvement in the creative elements of marketing projects to ensure consistent and cohesive branding consistent with CASC products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop forecasting models.
Ensure accurate data analysis to support the rating and pricing for all product lines.
Must be able to provide sound actuarial data to support and/or to decline proposed rating or pricing structures for new and existing programs.
Must be able to effectively communicate within all levels of the organization.
Assist with ensuring data used within the international actuarial functions are complete, accurate and appropriate.
Collaborate on the development and implementation of actuarial pricing models on a global basis.
Development of new products, services, and forms, in conjunction with other departments within CASC.
Competitor rate and product comparisons.
Assist with documenting target client business models and/or organizations and identify their unique product needs.
Participate in sales strategy discussions and share account and/or industry trends.
Other duties or projects as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Will supervise and collaborate with Product Development Manager and Business Risk Manager.
Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Creative writing that enables the creation of effective RFPs, proposals, presentations and marketing materials a must. Ability to speak effectively in front of clients or employees of organization.
Excellent Client / Customer Service: Manage challenging client situations; Respond promptly to client needs; Solicit client feedback to improve service; Respond to requests for service and assistance. Develop, maintain and manage customer relationships from the operational to executive levels throughout the company.
Strong decision-making skills: Make accurate and timely decisions based on Company and/or clients’ needs and business parameters, needs and requirements Good prioritization and time management skills, extremely organized, detail oriented, and ability to multitask.
Analytical skills: Strong strategic thinking, analytical, problem solving, and project management skills
Education and/or Experience: Bachelors in Actuarial Science, Accounting, or related field. Three to five years’ industry experience in a pricing actuary capacity highly preferred.
Computer Skills: Must be proficient with computers and software applications including but not limited to excellent mastery of MS Office, Excel, and Power Point, data mining, and forecasting applications
