Posting Summary: Instructor, Data Analytics/Course Designer UVa's School of Continuing and Professional Studies seeks applications to fill non-tenure track instructor positions for Data Analytics online instruction. Opportunities exist for development and delivery of executive, custom education as well as noncredit and credit course offerings. This position may be performed from remote locations. SCPS employs academic faculty who have applicable content expertise at the appropriate level, and who provide evidence of recent and/or current professional experience which applies to students' achieving the goals and learning outcomes of the program. Subject area needs include, but are not limited to: R, Python, Tableau, machine learning, statistics, predictive modeling, data mining, data warehousing, business intelligence, optimization, modeling and simulation, data visualization, text analytics, computing infrastructures for big data, and data management/design. Qualifications: A master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the content area (e.g., Data Analytics, systems engineering, Information Systems, or related) is required for noncredit and undergraduate-level instruction; a relevant terminal degree is preferred. For graduate-level instruction, a terminal degree and relevant expertise are required. A statement of extraordinary qualifications may be submitted as part of the cover letter in support of content expertise. Up to 4 years' relevant subject matter teaching experience; online teaching experience; experience preparing case studies with real datasets; and, curriculum design experience are desired.
