Madison Consulting Group has an opening for an actuarial student in our growing property/casualty consulting practice.  This position is appropriate for all levels ranging from entry- level to near-Associates or recent Associates of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS). Demonstrated experience in software applications, such as Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word, along with excellent communication skills, are required for anyone trying to fill this challenging consulting position.  Previous actuarial experience in multiple disciplines and familiarity with programming in R is a plus. This person needs to be able to balance business and actuarial information, along with strong interpersonal skills, to successfully interact with clients and senior level actuaries on a wide variety of projects.

General Responsibilities:

• Perform complex actuarial analyses to assist client needs and support senior management.
• Provide clear and concise communication of technical actuarial work to non-technical audiences.
• Progress in the Casualty Actuarial Society examination process.

Work location:   Hybrid opportunities including both remote (at home) assignments coupled with periodic office assignments in either our Madison, GA or Newtown Square, PA locations.

Qualifications:

• Evidence of ability to independently study and progress in the Casualty Actuarial Society credentialing process
• Strong communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and interact effectively with others within and outside the company.
• Familiarity with actuarial techniques and standards.
• Ability to successfully interact with clients and senior management on a day-to-day basis.
• Ability to work independently and meet client deadlines with minimum supervision.
