The Actuarial Analyst/Associate Actuary will be responsible for the preparation of rate filings and perform statistical analyses.  Responsible for all facets of the ratemaking process.  Prepare reserve indications supporting the SAO.  Prepare financial analyses for the purposes of decision making my management.  Facilitate compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.  Assist in the completion of Company’s financial statements and other required filings. 

Responsibilities: 

• Compile overall rate level indications and rate filings
• Extract and analyze various exposure and loss data using GLMs
• Various ad hoc analyses requested by management
• Work as a member of a broader team (including Actuarial, Underwriting, Sales, Claims) to develop pricing strategies for new products
• Communicate with state offices to work on common projects
• Mentor and contribute in the training of junior analysts

Required Qualifications:

• Must have the ability to handle multiple top priorities accurately and in a timely manner and the ability to change priorities as needed
• Ability to manage small scale projects
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science or related field
• Near ACAS or ACAS preferred
• 4 - 8 years of relevant work experience
• Advanced Microsoft Word, SQL Server and Excel skills
• EMBLEM and Radar software knowledge a plus
• Visual Basic programming knowledge a plus
• Permanent U.S. work authorization
